Ralph Newman opened City Food Equipment Company is 1985, located in Chicago, he ran the small family owned and operated business. As the Company grew, Mr. Newman incorporated to ensure a smooth transition when planning his succession. City Food Equipment Company was dedicated to the small businessman with fair pricing on new equipment and fast and efficient service. He also served some of the larger supermarket chains in the area. In October 1996, Ralph retired.
Dean Anderson had worked at City Food Equipment since its inception; he bought the Company. Dean expanded their product line to include more cooking equipment with a better reach and broader customer base i.e., restaurants and fast food outlets. Since opening our 10,000 sq. ft Showroom we have added more components to our sales department. Tom Kay is the sales manager and handles all the big operations, Gabriel Edwards handles all the internet sales, and Chris LaSalvia handles all the Craigslist and Ebay sales.
City Food Equipment Company represents some of the industries most widely recognized names such as Berkel, CAS Scales, Waring Blenders, Robot Coupe Food Processors, Dynamic Cooking Systems, Beverage Air, Victory, Globe, Fleetwood Equipment, Blodgett Ovens and many more. The equipment sold include but are not limited too, manual and automatic slicers, rotisseries, meat saws, dough mixers, deli scales, stoves, griddles, deep fryers, refrigeration, cooking equipment, sinks, stainless steel tables, meat mixers, vacuum packagers and bread slicers.
City Food Equipment Company is a high profile company with both a physical location and an internet/interactive web site. Current expansion is currently underway with a new 10,000 square foot showroom (attached to the current location) and a warehousing facility. City Food clients, dealers and prospects are as excited as we are as we increase our footprint in the food industry.
