This Antunes VCT-2000-9210100 contact toaster has 10-second toast cycles with a continuously moving conveyor, and buns placed in the feeder opening are moved through the chamber, where they make contact with a hot platen. Through this process, the sugars in the bread caramelize, producing a firm surface on the unfinished side of the buns, so condiments do not make them soggy. While this side is toasting, a heater warms the finished side of the buns. This unit accommodates both the bun tops and bottomsa'¬a€often referred to as the crowns and heelsa'¬a€through the product opening. For each half of the bun, the compression can be separately adjusted, and operators can set the thermostat in the Antunes VCT-2000-9210100 vertical toaster to suit different applications.
