For placement on a countertop or equipment stand, the Vulcan VCBB48 heavy-duty gas range features a modular base placed on 4-inch flanged feet, which can be raised or lowered to stabilize the unit on sloped or irregular surfaces. This 48-inch-wide by 36 3/4-inch-deep by 17 15/16-inch-tall piece can save space in compact kitchens and because its front, front top ledge, burner box, sides, and stub back are made of durable stainless steel, it resists rusting, denting, and scratching through high-volume use for prolonged service life.

The Vulcan VCBB48 gas range's top features a 48-inch-wide charbroiler with eight burners. Each burner has a corresponding pilot light and control so only parts of the charbroiler can be used during slow periods. When all burners are in use, this LP-gas-powered unit can output 130,000 BTUs per hour. Its char radiants and stainless steel supercharger burner dividers create a uniformly heated surface, while the heavy-duty slant cast grates leave behind appetizing grill marks and a smoky flavor. To ease cleanup, the grates can be lifted off, and the crumb tray's collected food residue can be removed.
