The True STA1F-2HG-HC reach-in freezer has three chrome-plated wire shelves that promote airflow to properly cool stored items. LED lighting increases product visibility, and the cabinet walls are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum. To simplify cleaning and add durability, it has a stainless steel floor and ceiling.

Since the freezer has half doors, employees can access the unit in smaller sections, reducing the amount of cold air that escapes when a door is opened. These doors have triple-pane glass, so users can find what they are looking for before opening a door. With a self-closing design, the doors shut on their own to retain cold air and stay open past 120 degrees, so users can load product into the cabinet. Each door has a lock that limits cabinet access to authorized users.

Operators can monitor temperatures, which should stay around -10 degrees Fahrenheit, in this True STA1F-2HG-HC one-section freezer on the external digital display. Using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, the capillary tube system responds quickly to changing temperatures, and the refrigeration system uses electronically commutated fan motors to efficiently move air, reducing energy consumption.
