To reduce temperature fluctuations, the Delfield 8169-EFNP LiquiTec® drop-in refrigerator is built with high-density polyurethane foam insulation in its sides and bottom. Its temperature holding range is 33 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit; operators can adjust these levels using precise electronic controls. To produce these temperatures, the unit uses a LiquiTec self-contained eutectic fluid refrigerated system and R290 refrigerant.

The Delfield 8169-EFNP drop-in cold food unit's inner liner, top, and louver are constructed of stainless steel to provide durability in high-volume settings. This heavy-duty metal resists corrosion and is simple to clean. Its ¹/₂-inch drains are also made of stainless steel, and it features galvanized steel exterior housing for added durability. Overall, it measures 69¹¹/₅₀ inches wide by 18 inches deep by 23¹/₄ inches high.
