Great for crowded countertops, the Delfield N8146NBP drop-in refrigerator cools two pans of food in a narrow footprint. It holds the pans end to enda'¬a€unlike most warmers, which hold them side by side. The system cools by running R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant through the walls, so the outmost edges are kept at the correct temperature. Pans sit on a recessed rest, holding them away from the hot air above while polyurethane insulation keeps heat out of the sides of the walls.

The Delfield N8146NBP drop-in cold well is controlled by a knob and switch in the machine compartment below. The knob enables users to adjust the temperature between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit, while the switch enables them to turn the unit on for cooling or off for defrosting. These controls are isolateda'¬a€perfect for customer-facing applications.
