For a built-in, streamlined appearance on buffet lines and self-service food bars, the Hatco CWBX-1 top-mounted refrigerated food well is designed to be dropped into a cutout as small as 17¹³/₁₀₀ inches wide by 25¹⁹/₁₀₀ inches deep or as large as 18 inches wide by 26 inches deep. To provide flexibility in installation, this unit ships with a separate control panel that includes 9-foot-long probe wires. Because it doesn't come with a condensing unit, it can be incorporated into a configuration of multiple cold wells. Its aluminized steel construction matches other Hatco wells for uniformity and provides long-term durability and corrosion resistance. To ease cleaning between uses, its 1-inch NPT brass drain can eliminate residual contents.

One full-size food pan filled with prechilled food can be safely displayed on this Hatco CWBX-1 drop-in food well. While its cold-wall construction uses R-513A to generate desired temperatures, its angled interior wall and precisely placed coils uniformly blanket the pan with cool air to eliminate warm spots that could affect product quality. The unit's sides and base are built with eco-friendly insulation that retains temperatures and reduces energy consumption in warm environments. As menus change, staff can adjust temperature with the electronic control panel. This control can also be used to initiate defrost cycles to prevent icy buildup.
