The cabinet architecture of the Continental DF32N-U undercounter freezer consists of a solid, self-closing door and stainless steel front, top, end, and interior panels. Granting an airtight seal, the door is equipped with a Santoprene™ snap-in gasket. The unit's 9-cubic-foot space holds one epoxy-coated steel shelf to provide extra storage in commercial kitchen workflows. To fit various floor plans and configurations, it sits on 1³/₈-inch diameter plate casters.

The Continental DF32N-U freezer's refrigeration system is rear mounted and self-contained. It cools with R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain temperatures from -4 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, which are adjusted with electronic controls that feature a high/low alarm and digital display. For preventative maintenance, the unit has an off-cycle defrost system and an automatic, hot gas condensate pan.
