To optimize the interior space provided, the Continental DFA43NSSBSD worktop freezer's base is accessed through two pull out drawers and a half-height door located above the side-mounted, pull-out condensing unit. The interior spans 12 cubic feet and is fitted with two epoxy-coated shelves for item storage. To establish a tight seal when both the drawers and door are closed, this unit has Santoprene™ snap-in gaskets. The cabinet is designed to resist the wear and tear of heavy use, as the front, end panels, and interior are made of stainless steel. To help retain set conditions, there are two inches of polyurethane insulation sandwiched between the metal paneling.

To simplify installation, the Continental DFA43NSSBSD worktop freezer's refrigeration system is self-contained. To manipulate the cabinet temperature, operators must use the electronic controls and digital display located on the front of the unit. With these controls, operators can program temperatures between -4 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit. This unit can store commonly used food items in a convenient location that is easy to access, and the heavy-gauge 300 series stainless steel worktop can provide staff with a durable surface for assembling recipes or to support compact countertop equipment. Additionally, this unit comes with a 5¹/₂-inch backsplash to maintain a clean work area.
