The Continental DFA60NSS worktop freezer's self-contained refrigeration system is side mounted and is supported by a hot gas condensate evaporator and an automatic electric defrost that both work to prevent moisture and frost from accumulating. This unit provides an eco-friendly operation, as it uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to achieve temperatures between -4 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Staff must program the desired temperature by using the digital controls and display located on the front right of the unit. If the cabinet temperature deviates from what is set, an alarm will sound the alert staff.

Built of heavy-gauge, 300 series stainless steel, the Continental DFA60NSS freezer's worktop is resistant to corrosion, rust, and dents, and can be a valuable addition to food preparation stations. The freezer base has a stainless steel front, interior, end panels, and has polished chrome handles to provide a sturdy grip. The two full doors and one half-height door have a self-closing design to retain cool conditions during frequent use; these doors are field rehingeable to fit seamlessly in a variety of workspace set ups. The interior is equipped with four epoxy-coated steel shelves and insulated by two inches of polyurethane foam.
