The Continental FA60N freezer base features a stainless steel exterior and aluminum interior to ensure durability in commercial settings and for ease of cleaning. Between the metal paneling is 2 inches of polyurethane foam insulation to help maintain cool interior conditions. Inside, the cabinet spans 19 cubic feet and is fitted with four epoxy-coated steel shelves. Two full doors divide the unit into manageable segments; these are designed to self-close to reduce recovery time.

Positioned at the side of the Continental FA60N undercounter freezer base is its self-contained refrigeration system, which utilizes R290 refrigerant for safe and efficient operation. The system forces cool air throughout the cabinet via the integrated fans. To reduce the need for staff intervention, the unit is equipped with an automatic defrost and condensate evaporator.
