The Hoshizaki DT2A-FS two-section refrigerator freezer is cooled with environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Its refrigeration system is self-contained, and because it's mounted on the top of the unit, it won't get clogged with dust or debris. Because the right side of the unit has a temperature range of -10 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit and the left side can be adjusted from 33 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit, a wide variety of product can be stored in it. A digital readout enables users to monitor the temperature for accuracy, and polyurethane insulation in the cabinet prevents air from escaping into the environment.

The doors on the Hoshizaki DT2A-FS commercial refrigerator freezer lock to prevent theft and tampering overnight. They are sealed shut with gaskets to retain chill, and these gaskets are protected due to the unit's stepped design. The six adjustable shelfs are epoxy coated to resist corrosion and made of wire so air flows evenly around produce that is being stored. Mounted on four-inch casters, the refrigerator freezer can be pushed through the kitchen with minimal strain. It is made of stainless steel for resilience.
