Using a self-contained condenser and R404A refrigerant, the Hoshizaki KM-1301SAJ3 ice machine head can produce a maximum amount of 1,427 pounds of ice per day, though this number will be lower if environmental conditions aren't ideal. It makes crescent-shaped ice, which is great for drinks, and if maintenance is needed, the EverCheck™ alert system will inform users that something is wrong. To create ice quicker than similar ice machines, the CycleSaver™ design speeds up the process.

The Hoshizaki KM-1301SAJ3 crescent-cube ice machine head is coated in H-GUARD Plus antimicrobial, which slows the growth of bacteria and decreases the frequency with which is needs to be cleaned. For durability and corrosion resistance in high-volume environments, its finish and evaporator are stainless steel. Meaning one will need to be purchased separately for use, this unit doesn't include a bin or dispenser.
