The Hoshizaki KM-1340MAJ ice maker can produce 1,275 pounds of ice in 24 hours, but this amount depends on ambient air and incoming water temperatures. Designed with CycleSaver™ technology, the unit produces the same amount of ice as most other units in less cycles. It makes crescent cube ice€”a type of half-cube ice that works well in drinks in restaurants and bars. The cubes are produced when the water that flows over the evaporator plate freezes as the refrigerant is cooled with fans.

Depending on the issue, the EverCheck™ system in this Hoshizaki KM-1340MAJ ice machine head provides a different series of beeps, and if the operator needs to access the components, the panels are removable. An antimicrobial agent is built into the unit, limiting bacteria growth. Because the ice maker's exterior is made of stainless steel, it resists rusting and withstands commercial use.
