The Hoshizaki KM-520MAJ ice machine head has H-GUARD Plus antimicrobial protection, reducing the risk of slime and mold growth. Its evaporator is made of stainless steel, which minimizes the risk of corrosion and lasts longer than nickel-plated evaporators. This unit monitors itself for problems and beeps in a pattern to indicate any issues that it finds. A self-diagnostic system helps speed up the repair process so that the machine can run efficiently.

The Hoshizaki KM-520MAJ ice maker produces crescent cubes that melt very slowly and take up more space in cups than other ice types. In this way, crescent cubes help reduce the total amount spent on beverages. Crescent-cube ice forms on each side of the evaporator plate and then drops into a bin or dispenser.
