In 24 hours, this unit can produce 487 pounds of ice, but this is dependent on cold ambient air and incoming water temperatures. It is designed to produce as much ice as other models with less cycles. Because it makes crescent cube ice, the unit can be used in most establishments. These cubes work well in most drinks, tightly filling drinkware to eliminate space.

This Hoshizaki KMD-460MWJ ice machine head's components are accessible behind the removable panels, so servicing and cleaning the unit is convenient. If there is a system issue, the alert technology signals it with a series of diagnostic beeps. The components have antimicrobial agents built in, preventing quick bacterial growth between cleanings.
