The stainless steel structure extends to two field-reversible doors that have stay-open and self-closing features for helpful assistance. Additionally, they can be opened with the two extruded aluminum handles adorning the front of each and are lockable to restrict access. The storage area within these two doors has a 12-cubic-foot capacity that features one adjustable shelf per section. When closed, a layer of insulation surrounds the cabinet and doors, helping maintain a set temperature between -10 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This unit is placed atop four 4-inch casters€”two of which brake€”for simplified movement when needed.

The Hoshizaki UF48B-01 undercounter cold storage unit utilizes a developed air circulation system and self-contained refrigeration to create and maintain food-safe environments. Its refrigeration compartment features a powerful evaporator that initiates hot gas removal and works with eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to push out hot air. This evaporator's coil is coated in enamel to eliminate corrosion damage and experiences routine, time-initiated defrosts to extend its service life. Once the hot air is removed from the freezer's cavity, its circulation system evenly distributes chilled air to properly freeze food items.
