The Hoshizaki WF48B commercial worktop freezer is made of stainless steel and features two sections in its cabinet base for cold storage. The freezer base is topped by a smooth, flat worktop that provides a workspace for preparing ingredients. This freezer unit is 48 inches wide by 31 inches deep by 40 inches high, and it sits on four casters that ease maneuvering around the kitchen.

The stainless steel doors are stepped on the inside, defending the door gaskets from damage and protecting the door's seal. The gaskets themselves are removable for a convenient yet thorough cleanup process. Inside the cabinets are epoxy-coated shelves that adjustable in¹/₂-inch increments to customize the storage space. The worktop above features a backsplash to prevent liquids from running down the back of the unit or splashing onto the wall behind it.

The refrigeration system in the Hoshizaki WF48B worktop freezer is self-contained, rear mounted, and can be set between -10 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The whole cabinet is insulated with polyurethan foam to help maintain food-safe temperatures in ambient temperatures as high as 100 degrees. The capillary tube system uses energy-efficient, eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The evaporator is non-electric and coated in epoxy for corrosion prevention.
