The Hoshizaki WR48B worktop refrigerator's 48-inch-width gives staff plenty of room to make subs, pizzas, and salads. The rear-placed backsplash prevents food from sliding behind the unit, simplifying end-of-shift cleanup. Two solid, hinged doors€”which can be left or right configured€”are located below the unit. The doors are opened with flush-mounted extruded aluminum handles to access the 13.66-cubic-feet of interior space. Two epoxy-coated, corrosion-resistant shelves are included to simply slide into the refrigerator's interior, and these are mounted on anodized aluminum pilasters and can be adjusted in ¹/₂-inch increments .

This Hoshizaki WR48B worktop is primarily made of stainless steel to minimize the appearance of dents, abrasions, and corrosion. This construction extends to the interior of the unit, and the cabinet and doors are foamed in with 2-inch, high-density polyurethane that helps the unit maintain cold temperatures. The base has a built-in, front-breathing refrigeration unit that uses hot gas condensate and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with its capillary tubes to hold temperatures between 32 and 52 degrees Fahrenheit. The evaporator is enamel coated, and this unit features a built-in defrost system that reduces excess freezing.
