Flaked ice's irregular shape can be packed around fish and produce, securing it in place while cooling it. To accommodate large volumes of ice, its bearings have a high-load design that requires little maintenance to prevent operational lag. Ice can be stored in the 50-pound ice bin located beneath the unit. For direct access, its door can slide open.
