The True TS-49FG-FLX-HC~FGDO1 commercial refrigerator and freezer has two sections, each of which is accessible through a glass doors, which allows customers to see into the unit and select products to minimize the amount of time spent with the door open. The unit can function as a freezer or refrigerator, quickly switching from one to the other with a switch located behind the grill. The unit can maintain temperatures ranging from -10 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit and uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to do so, creating a chilly environment that is also eco-friendly and energy efficient.

This machine is constructed of stainless steel and features a GalFan coating on the back to protect it from rust and other forms of corrosion. The inside of the unit is lined with clear-coated aluminum and features coved corners that prevent debris and bacteria buildup. It comes with six gray PVC-coated wire shelves that can be adjusted to suit the height of stored items. The full unit is 54¹/₈ inches wide by 32⁷/₈ inches deep by 83³/₈ inches tall.

The glass doors on the True TS-49FG-FLX-HC~FGDO1 commercial refrigeration unit are made of triple pan thermal glass, which, in conjunction with its layer of polyurethane insulation, locks in cold temperatures. The doors can be opened using two 15-inch-long exterior mounted aluminum handles. The refrigeration system is supported with a time-initiated and temperature-terminated automatic defrost system to help maintain the unit's service life over time.
