For simple installation and maintenance, the Turbo Air TOM-48L-UFD-S-3S-N open-air merchandiser is a self-contained refrigeration system that doesn't require plumbing and has an automatic, self-cleaning condenser to prevent damaging dust accumulation. It uses eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to generate cool temperatures, while high-density, foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation maintains desired temperatures to reduce the risk of product damage, even if the cooler must be stored in warm ambient environments. Air can circulate uniformly through its perforated doors and across the interior to minimize condensation and eliminate warm spots. Operators can raise or lower temperatures as stock is rotated using the digital electronic thermostat, which includes an accurate solar-powered digital thermometer.

The Turbo Air TOM-48L-UFD-S-3S-N horizontal, low-profile cooler measures 46³/₄ inches wide by 33³/₄ inches deep by 53¹/₈ inches high and includes a stainless steel deck and two glass shelves to organize and display drinks and food effectively. LED lights highlight the interior to improve presentation, while the tempered glass front and side panels provide a direct view of goods stored on the deck. Sliding glass doors built into the rear enable users to load and retrieve items without interfering with customers who are choosing their purchase. To match established decor in grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations, its silver exterior features a modern look.
