To hold sandwiches, salads, snacks, desserts, and drinks at safe temperatures, the Turbo Air TOM-50S-N vertical open-display merchandiser is built with a self-contained refrigeration system that uses eco-friendly R-290 refrigerant. Staff can adjust temperatures with the digital electronic thermostat and quickly determine cabinet temperatures with the solar-powered digital thermometer. To achieve desired temperatures, this unit shouldn't be installed in an area that exceeds 75 degrees Fahrenheit and 55 percent humidity; it also shouldn't be placed near doorways, fans, or HVAC vents that could inhibit airflow. Foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation preserves generated temperatures, while the back guard and perforated top and interior back wall help evenly distribute air. The included night curtain can be placed over the open front overnight or during idle periods to preserve chill and energy.

The Turbo Air TOM-50S-N full-height display case's open front and tempered glass front shield and side walls provide full visibility of merchandised food and drink, and to enhance product displays and grab customer attention, LED lighting is built beneath all four stainless steel shelves. This 50⁷/₈-inch-wide by 28¹/₄-inch-deep by 78⁵/₈-inch-tall unit's interior and exterior are made of stainless steel—a resilient, rust- and corrosion-resistant metal that matches most established decorative themes. For flexibility in installation, it doesn't require plumbing and only needs to be plugged into an outlet. Its ⁵/₈-inch-tall bolts can be raised to 2³/₄ inches to balance on uneven or sloped flooring.
