To keep prepared foods at safe temperatures over short periods, a blanket-type foil element warms the Hatco GRS-42-A Glo-Ray® heated shelf's surface. Its expansive configuration disperses heat uniformly to prevent cold spots, while fiberglass insulation ensures that heat remains near the surface to reduce temperature fluctuations. For precise temperature modification, the thermostatic control can be adjusted from 80 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and because its power switch glows when it's in use, operators can quickly determine the power status.

The Hatco GRS-42-A freestanding warming shelf's compact 42-inch-wide by 6-inch-deep by 5³/₈-inch-high design accommodates food pans, to-go orders, and wrapped contents such as sandwiches and hot dogs. To prevent inadvertent adjustment during loading and unloading, nonslip rubber feet stabilize the unit on buffet lines and countertops. To preserve its original look and withstand daily use, its durable stainless steel surface and extruded aluminum base resist corrosion and can be wiped clean between uses.
