Wrapped or boxed foods, to-go orders, and food pans can be placed on the Hatco GRS-42-B Glo-Ray® heated shelf's 42-inch-wide by 7³/₄-inch-deep stainless steel surface. This metal resists rust and corrosion, endures rigorous use, and can simply be wiped clean between uses. Its extruded aluminum base is attached to 4-inch nonslip rubber feet that stabilize the unit on buffet lines and self-service stations.

The Hatco GRS-42-B countertop warming shelf's blanket-type foil element warms its surface evenly, generating enough heat for short-term holding. Fiberglass insulation retains heat near the surface to minimize energy loss and temperature fluctuations. To accommodate changing holding requirements, operators can precisely modify heat levels with its thermostatic control, which can be set between 80 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Users can quickly identify if the unit is on because its power switch glows when the warmer is in use.
