Once staff adjust surface temperature between 100 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit, its ceramic glass construction evenly distributes heat to reduce cold spots. The rocker switch illuminates when the unit is on so staff can quickly determine its power status.

The Hatco HBGB-7218 built-in heated shelf's surface features two equally sized black ceramic glass pieces that create a seam along its center. This division can be used to separate two food types to enhance presentation. Its 73⁵/₈-inch-wide by 19⁵/₈-inch-deep surface provides ample space for to-go orders, plated meals, and hors d'oeuvres.
