For a streamlined pickup system, the Metro HS1448-EKIT Super Erecta? enclosed heated shelf kit's heated shelf features two clear polycarbonate sliding doors on the customer side and two hinged polycarbonate doors on the operator side. This pass-thru system grants a full view of displayed contents and lets customers retrieve their purchase from the shelf. Every door handle is treated with Microban antimicrobial technology to inhibit mold, mildew, and bacterial growth between regularly scheduled cleanings. Compatible with front- and back-of-house applications, this 48⁷/₁₀-inch-wide by 17⁷/₁₀-inch-deep by 17²/₅-inch-high unit is encased with powder-coated side panels for sleek presentation.

The Metro HS1448-EKIT enclosed shelf unit's 47¹⁵/₁₆-inch-wide by 14⁵/₈-inch-deep shelf is heated with low-wattage foil heating elements to generate ample radiant heat and keep orders warm for pickup. These elements are adhered to an aluminum diffuser that directs hot air toward the shelf's surface, and as holding requirements change, users can adjust the thermostat to temperatures as hot as 200 degrees Fahrenheit. To withstand high-volume use, the smooth stainless steel shelf surface resists rust and corrosion and can be wiped clean between uses. Condiments, napkins, silverware, and prepackaged foods can be displayed on the unit's nonheated top shelf.
