Groen AHS-40 40 gal Steam Kettle - Stationary, 2/3 Jacket, Natural Gas

The Groen AHS-40 steam kettle is a 40-gallon-capacity floor model measuring 43¹/₄ inches wide by 54¹/₄ inches deep by 56 inches high. To survive in fast-paced kitchens, this low-height unit's interior and exterior are made of durable, rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The interior is polished with a 180-emergy-grit finish, while its exterior features a No. 3 finish. To retain generated temperatures, it's equipped with fiber-bat insulation. For stability on uneven flooring, operators can raise or lower its three legs. The 2-inch tangent draw-off valve eases cleanup after use, and its drain outlet includes a ¹/₄-inch perforated steel strainer.

Great for establishments that don't have a steam generator or external boiler, the Groen AHS-40 low-height kettle is a self-contained, natural-gas-heated configuration. This unit produces and maintains temperatures between 150 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, and its two-thirds steam jacket evenly heats chili, pasta, stew, and soup. When the desired temperature is achieved, its thermostatic control will shut off to preserve energy, and if temperature levels drop below the intended setting, it will turn back on. To ease operation, operators can monitor temperature, pressure, and water levels with the controls that are contained in a stainless steel enclosure.
