The AccuTemp EGF2083A2450-T1 Accu-Steam™ EG Series griddle uses steam to heat its stainless steel griddle plate. Creating steam when warmed, heating elements inside a vacuum chamber are immersed into chemically pure water. By creating steam in a sealed chamber, the steam heat transfer warms the griddle from 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning it can cook, grill, or reheat a variety of food products. The temperatures are displayed on a digital thermostat and easily programmable and trackable throughout cooking. For common temperature settings, operators can input three preset temperatures. Users have full control over the unit with manager mode, which locks the temperature settings so unauthorized users do not have access to the thermostat. A heating indicator light assures the user the griddle is warming, while an over-temperature indicator light alerts the operator when the unit is overheating.

For cooking breakfast foods, burgers, sandwiches, and meats, the AccuTemp EGF2083A2450T1 Accu-Steam griddle includes features assisting in properly cooking a range of foods. Constructed of stainless steel, it is a durable unit equipped to handle humid kitchen areas. Its polished stainless steel body can be wiped down quickly and can hide dents and scratches with its silver material. A 4-inch-tall rear splash and tapered side walls surround the griddle plate to contain oils, grease, and food inside the griddle. Grease drains into the full front grease trough and drop chute, ending up in the 5-quart capacity grease pan that can be removed, dumped, and cleaned for future use. Throughout cooking, the griddle is designed to stay in place, and its four 4-inch-high legs with bullet feet resist sliding if bumped.
