To ensure prepared foods are held at safe temperatures before serving, the Cres Cor 131-UA-9D noninsulated hot cabinet's bottom-mounted heating system produces and maintains temperatures as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Operators can adjust heat quickly with the mechanical thermostat, while its thermometer is positioned on a slanted panel to provide an accurate temperature readout so operators can manage internal temperatures. Whenever maintenance or cleaning is necessary, the control panel can be removed. While this system isn't insulated, its perimeter door gasket helps minimize heat loss, and operators can modify temperatures without opening the door. Overall, the cabinet's nine universal wire angles accommodate variously sized pans and can be adjusted on 1¹/₂-inch centers.

As a ³/₄-height unit, the Cres Cor 131-UA-9D heated mobile cabinet measures 24¹/₄ inches wide by 32 inches deep by 57³/₄ inches high. Four 5-inch swivel casters are built onto its base, enabling operators to reverse this unit and move it around corners; two casters have brakes that stabilize it when needed. To withstand impact and daily use, its body is constructed of corrosion-resistant, hi-tensile aluminum with a fully welded extruded frame. Its right-hinged door features a magnetic-type latch that ensures the door remains closed during transport so contents won't fall out of the cabinet.
