For medium-traffic settings, the Hatco GRS-42-I Glo-Ray® heated shelf's 42-inch-wide by 19¹/₂-inch-deep by 5³/₈-inch-high design accommodates three 12-inch by 20-inch food pans for incorporation into a buffet or cafeteria line, self-service station, or pass-thru area. Its stainless steel surface and extruded aluminum base resist corrosion and are resilient enough to endure daily use. This warmer is fitted with four 4-inch nonslip rubber feet that secure it in place while creating space beneath the base for thorough cleaning underneath.

A blanket-type heating element distributes heat across the Hatco GRS-42-I freestanding warming shelf's surface evenly to minimize temperature fluctuations, while fiberglass insulation keeps heat near the surface to conserve energy. Employees can adjust the surface temperature from 80 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit on the thermostatic control, and this unit can be turned on with a simple on/off switch that glows when it's in use.
