For practicality and location flexibility, this Hatco GRS-54-H Glo-Ray® heated shelf is a freestanding, portable countertop unit. Its durable stainless steel top resists rust, corrosion, and wear from rigorous use, while its resilient extruded aluminum base is mounted on 4-inch nonslip rubber feet that stabilize units on buffet lines, self-service areas, and workstations. This 54-inch-wide by 17¹/₂-inch-deep by 5³/₈-inch-high structure is lightweight to simplify repositioning and cleaning.

As holding requirements change, this Hatco GRS-54-H heated shelf's thermostat can be modified to a set temperature between 80 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Its blanket-style heating element ensures uniform heat distribution once temperatures are set and generates enough heat to keep foods at safe serving temperatures for a short period of time. Integrated fiberglass insulation retains heat near the holding surface to conserve energy and reduce temperature fluctuations that could affect product quality.
