To promote uniform airflow, the fixed slides in the Metro C539-MFS-4 mobile heated cabinet are made of wire. They hold (18) 18-inch by 26-inch or (34) 12-inch by 20-inch food pans, and the unit's red Insulation Armour? ensures food stays warm until serving time. To facilitate serving, the cabinet is positioned on 5-inch casters for mobility throughout the room; when the cabinet unloaded, two of the brakes lock to hold it still. This unit warms using humidity exclusively.

The Metro C539-MFS-4 insulated heated cabinet resists corrosion due to its aluminum construction, which is resilient enough to withstand repeated use. Providing temperatures as high as 200 degrees Fahrenheit, it has an adjustable thermostat and a digital thermometer to offer a readout of the current temperature. The control panel can be accessed from the bottom and removed if service is needed.
