To prevent flavor transfer and ensure foods are held at appropriate temperatures, the Vulcan VSL2 Slim-Line warming drawer is divided into two heated holding drawers that separate temperature and humidity controls. Both drawers include a 475-watt heating element, and each drawer's recessed thermostats can be adjusted to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity controls can increase or decrease moisture levels, and operators can reposition the door vents to increase airflow. To preserve moisture and heat, the cabinet's sides and top are filled with 1-inch-thick insulation.

Each drawer in the Vulcan VSL2 drawer warmer accommodates a 12-inch by 20-inch by 6-inch stainless steel food pan, two of which are included with this unit. The drawers are furnished with stainless steel drawer slides and roller bearings for streamlined opening and closing, while the oversized drawer handles simplify pulling out the drawers. This 20 1/2-inch-wide by 30 1/2-inch-deep by 24 1/2-inch-tall unit is made of rust- and corrosion-resistant 20-gauge stainless steel for long-term durability. To prevent wobbling on uneven surfaces, it's furnished with 4-inch adjustable legs.
