With a durable construction meant to sustain frequent usage, the Bizerba GSPHDI90 meat slicer is crafted using seamless, anodized aluminum. In contrast, the unit's blade is made of chromium and features a 60-62 Rockwell hardened edge that allows for slicing meat in slices as thick as 24 millimeters; the thickness can be adjusted using the unit's control panel. Its food fence holds deli meats in place during the slicing process, while its carriage is wide for increased product capacity. Additionally, its gravity feed chamber features a 40-degree incline, and the unit's servo assisted manual mode simplifies feeding chicken and ham through this machine. The unit's sliding mechanism measures three strokes long, while the whole machine measures 28¹/₂ inches long by 22¹²/₂₅ inches wide by 24²/₃ inches high, so it's perfect for front-of-house countertop placement in delis or cafes. This design is further supported by the unit's 6-foot cord.

To ensure simple and easy cleaning, the Bizerba GSPHDI90 gravity feed slicer catches debris in its remnant holder, which can be removed when cleaning is needed. Utilizing six safety interlocks, it features a 3¹/₂-inch thumb guard, as well as a food fence for secure placement. To reduce confusion during operation, its lift arm is red while its push handle is green. To further ensure safety during cleaning, it features an indicator light that shines red while the blade is still active and green when it has fully stopped. To ensure the blade remains sharp, operators can attach the remote sharpener, which uses its spring-loaded dial to sharpen the blade automatically.
