The Gold Medal 8049D electric fryer has a shallow fry pot, making it ideal for creating small fried foods, such as funnel cakes and donuts. Four to six cakes can be cooked at one time without greatly cooling the oil down. Users can specify the fryer's temperature with the heat adjustment dial, and should an emergency occur, the stop button can be pressed to shut down the unit. When cleaning or replacing the oil, it can be let out through the drain and into a separate container.
