Because the Vulcan 1GR65M measures 21 inches wide by 30¹/₈ inches deep by 47¹/₈ inches high and holds 65 to 70 pounds of oil, it can cook large volumes of onion rings, mozzarella sticks, or french fries. Its cabinet and 19¹/₂-inch-wide by 14-inch-deep fry tank is constructed of stainless steel and rests on four 6-inch casters?two of which lock for stability. It features a millivolt snap-action thermostat that can set temperatures between 200 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and to ease cleaning, it comes with a tank brush, crumb scoop, and clean-out rod.

The Vulcan 1GR65M freestanding fryer includes two 9¹/₄-inch-wide by 13¹/₄-inch-deep by 6-inch-high metal fry baskets equipped with plastic-coated handles to reduce burn risks. It has a maximum output of 150,000 BTU per hour and comes with a combination gas shut-off and pilot light safety system in the case of mechanical failure. To maintain oil quality, it has a v-shaped cold zone that gathers sediment before it burns and affects the oil's taste.
