Q starter shelving unit is comprised of five tiers of rigid steel shelves. This 29¹³?₁₆-inch-wide by 21³?₈-inch-deep by 74-inch-tall unit is NSF rated for wet and dry storage areas. Because it's built with epoxy-coated shelf frames and polymer posts, it can withstand temperatures ranging from -20 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. While the posts provide lasting rust resistance, the shelves also resist rust and corrosion. Louvered polypropylene shelf mats can be placed atop the shelf frames to enhance light penetration and airflow, and they can be removed and sanitized in a washing machine or dishwasher as needed. To preserve product quality and minimize odor retention, the posts and removable shelf mats are treated with Microban? antimicrobial product protection to slow the growth of fungi, microbes, and bacteria between regular cleanings.

Users can assemble the Metro 5Q427G3 commercial shelving unit in minutes without tools. Its one-piece, reinforced nylon wedges feature raised beads that can be snapped in place along grooves in the post, and once enough wedges are positioned along the posts to accommodate five shelving tiers, the shelves can simply be placed atop the wedges and posts. To maximize vertical storage space, these shelves can be adjusted in 1-inch increments with the tool-free corner-release system.
