The Metro 5Q477G3 MetroMax? Q starter shelving unit is comprised of five tiers of corrosion-, rust-, and abrasion-resistant epoxy-coated steel shelves that can each support 600 pounds. To promote airflow around stored canned goods, bulk ingredients, and bagged items, the shelves include vented polypropylene shelf mats, which?along with the kit's polymer posts?are treated with Microban? antimicrobial protection to inhibit growth of mold, mildew, bacteria, and microbes between cleanings. Once dirty, the mats can be cleaned in a washing machine, sink, or dishwasher, and to maximize vertical storage space, the shelves can quickly be adjusted along the posts by relocating the posts' wedge connectors.

Although the Metro 5Q477G3 commercial shelving unit ships knocked down, it can be assembled in minutes by attaching the reinforced nylon wedge connectors to the 74-inch-tall polymer posts. Once four wedge connectors are secured to the four posts, a shelf can be placed atop those wedges. For versatile placement, this 71¹³?₁₆-inch-wide by 21³?₈-inch-deep by 74-inch-tall unit is safe in dry or wet areas from -20 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. In the event of sloped or bumpy flooring, the posts' reinforced nylon feet can be raised or lowered, reducing wobbling during loading or removal.
