Q starter shelving unit is comprised of five shelving tiers, each of which support 600 pounds. This 71¹³?₁₆-inch-wide by 24³?₈-inch-deep by 74-inch-tall unit is designed to hold a total of 2,000 pounds when weight is distributed evenly. Because its steel-framed shelves are coated with corrosion- and rust-resistant epoxy and its four polymer posts resist rust, it's safe to store in wet, damp, humid, or dry storage areas between -20 and 125 degrees Fahrenheit. To minimize the risk of odors and product degradation in storage, these posts and vented polypropylene shelf mats are treated with Microban? antimicrobial protection to slow bacterial, fungal, mold, and mildew growth between cleanings.

Operators can assemble the Metro 5Q577G3 commercial shelving unit in minutes without tools. Its one-piece reinforced nylon wedge connectors can snap onto the posts, and once four wedges are secured to a corresponding post, a shelf can be placed on top of the wedge connectors. To accommodate changing inventory, the shelves can be repositioned in 1-inch increments by adjusting the wedge connectors' placement with the corner-release system. The included vented polypropylene shelf mats can be used on the shelves to promote uniform airflow and enhance light penetration, and as they become dirty, the mats can safely be cleaned in a sink, washing machine, or dishwasher.
