The Metro 5X327G4 MetroMax? 4 starter shelving unit is a five-tier unit comprised of all-polymer shelves and posts capable of withstanding chemical exposure and installation in wet and dry storage areas. For simple setup, this unit comes with 20 wedge connectors?four for each shelf?that can be connected to the posts for tool-free assembly. Once the posts and wedges are connected, the shelves can be placed on top of the wedges. When fully assembled, this unit measures 29¹⁵?₁₆ inches wide by 18¹?₂ inches deep by 74³?₁₆ inches tall.

While each shelf in the Metro 5X327G4 commercial shelving unit can support 800 pounds, the unit is designed to hold as much as 2,000 pounds total when the weight is evenly distributed. To maximize vertical storage space and accommodate differently sized products, the shelves can be raised and lowered in 1-inch increments along the posts' grooves. The included vented polypropylene shelf mats can be placed on top of the shelves' frames to enhance airflow and light penetration. To maintain a clean storage area, the shelf mats and posts are treated with bacteria-inhibiting Microban? protection, while the mats can be sanitized in dishwashers or washing machines.
