The Metro 5X537GX3 MetroMax i? louvered shelf kit has five polymer shelves constructed with an open grid so air can circulate evenly. These shelves have removable, one-piece polymer mats to contain spills and protect the shelves from food stains or chemicals. Though the unit has a 2,000-pound overall capacity, a single shelf cannot hold more than 1,000 pounds on its own. Stainless steel shelf corners provide protection for the unit, and four polymer posts make it sturdy enough to hold equipment and other kitchen necessities.
