The Metro 5X577GX3 MetroMax? i starter shelving system can be assembled in minutes and without tools by snapping the wedges connectors' raised beads into the posts' grooves. The connectors' windows provide a view of the posts' numbers so staff can ensure the wedges are attached at the same position. A corresponding shelf can then be placed on four wedge connectors; by fully capturing the wedge and post, the shelves enhance structural stability. The shelves' frames feature rust- and corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel corners and can hold as much as 750 pounds. To prolong the unit's service life, however, no more than 2,000 pounds should be stored on the unit. These shelves come with open-grid polymer shelf mats that enhance air circulation and light penetration, and because these mats are flat, packaged products can simply be loaded and retrieved from the surface with a reduced risk of ripping or tearing.

For flexibility, the Metro 5X577GX3 shelving kit can be installed in damp, wet, or humid areas because the mats and posts are made of corrosion- and rust-resistant polymer, which can survive exposure to harsh environments, chemicals, and moisture. The posts and shelf mats are treated with Microban? antimicrobial product protection, slowing bacterial, microbial, and fungal growth between regular cleaning. For thorough sanitization, the shelf mats can be removed and washed in a dishmachine or washing machine. These shelves can be raised or lowered in 1-in. increments to accommodate inventory of various heights.
