The blue Metro MF-213074G-S-4 polymer louvered shelf kit is a four-tier starter unit that ships knocked down and can quickly be assembled without tools; the kit includes four shelves, four posts, and wedge connectors. Individual shelf height can be adjusted by increments of an inch both up and down, enabling users to adjust the shelf to suit their particular storage needs. Fully assembled, the shelf kit is 29¹⁵/₁₆ inches wide by 21¹/₂ inches deep by 74³/₁₆ inches tall.

The plastic construction features Microban antimicrobial technology to slow the growth of mold and bacteria on the surface of the shelves between regular cleanings. Each shelf has open-grid shelf mats that can be removed and cleaned in a commercial dishwasher. The open-grid design allows air to flow freely on all sides of the stored food, making the unit great for use in walk-in freezers. Each of the four individual shelves can hold 800 pounds, while the whole unit should not be loaded with more than 2,000 pounds.
