The Metro MF-245474G-S-4 louvered shelf kit is constructed of polymer?a durable material that resists rust and corrosion through frequent use. This design also features antimicrobial protection that limits bacterial, mildew, and mold growth between regularly scheduled cleanings. When disassembled, the shelves can be loaded and cleaned in the dishmachine without the worry of warping or other damage. If operators prefer to keep the unit assembled during cleaning, it can also be safely wiped down with mild, non-abrasive detergents.

The Metro MF-245474G-S-4 shelving unit, when fully assembled, measures 53¹⁵/₁₆ inches wide by 24¹/₂ inches deep by 74³/₁₆ inches high. Each individual shelf can hold 600 pounds, even though the whole unit shouldn't be loaded with more than 2,000 pounds. Each shelf is connected to its post with four wedge connectors, which are also made of polymer. To keep the unit from holding onto unwanted weight caused by liquid buildup, each shelf comes with draining holes in its bottom.
