For placement in gas stations, grocery stores, and convenience stores, the True TOAM-48GS-HC~TSL01 open-air cooler measures 48 inches wide by 29⁷/₈ inches deep by 78¹/₂ inches tall. Its cold-rolled steel exterior is finished with peel- and chip-resistant black powder coating to preserve its original quality through long-term use, while its top section sports the True Version 01 standard look for a vintage flair. Customers have a full view of displayed drinks, sandwiches, salads, and snacks because it's built with an open front and glass panels on its lower front and sides. To ensure stability during product insertion and removal, its welded steel frame is fitted with leg levelers.

This merchandiser is built with four tiers of white powder-coated solid cantilever shelves that can be tilted 15 degrees to enhance product display. Although the cabinet is lit with LEDs to attract customer attention, each shelf also includes an LED light strip to enhance presentation. To complement the shelves, the interior is lined with white aluminum, while the deck pans and floor are made of stainless steel.

The True TOAM-48GS-HC~TSL01 merchandiser's self-contained refrigeration system produces temperatures from 33 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and the cabinet is foamed in place with high-density polyurethane insulation to preserve generated temperatures. To maintain a frost-free unit, users can set specific times and temperatures to initiate and terminate defrost cycles. During non-business hours, the included night cover can be secured over the open front to minimize energy consumption. To maintain an efficient refrigeration system, the evaporator and condenser fan motors are electronically commutated (EC), moving a consistent volume of air to reduce heat production and energy usage. The condenser's fan motors reverse periodically to remove buildup of dirt, dust, and debris from the condenser coil, enhancing performance.
