The Eagle Group CLEGD-36-240 RedHots® Chef's Line® electric griddle has a ³/₄-inch-thick polished steel griddle plate welded to the unit's top. Its 36-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep cooking surface is heated by thermostatic snap-action controls, adjustable from 100 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Chrome knob controls are placed at a 45-degree angle for comfortable use; a bull-nose edge sits above the controls, protecting the thermostats from hot oil spills. Tubular heating elements, attached beneath the griddle plate, uniformly heat the surface for best results. The griddle's front and sides are made of heavy-gauge stainless steel for durability, and it sits on top of heavy-duty cast metal legs with flanged feet, so it doesn't slide if bumped.

Grease removal for the Eagle Group CLEG-36-240 extra-deep electric griddle is streamlined by its 3¹/₂-inch-wide front trough located on the left edge. From there, leftover fat and oil drains through the chute and into the 7¹/₂-quart stainless steel grease drawer. Sloped splashes tower over the griddle at 4 inches tall to contain hot oil from sloshing over its sides.
