Built with tubular heating elements secured beneath its ³/₄-inch-thick griddle plate, the Eagle Group CLEGD-48-240 RedHots® Chef's Line® extra-deep griddle works well for grilling eggs, toast, bacon, and pancakes. The 48-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep griddle plate is welded to the stainless steel front and sides for a secure cooking space. Heating elements are thermostatically controlled in a 100- to 450-degree-Fahrenheit temperature range. Located on a 45-degree slope at the griddle's front, the controls are comfortable to use and are protected by a bull-nose edge. The unit is lifted on four metal legs and flanged feet, reducing the risk of scorching the surface beneath the griddle.

Splashing oil is contained on the Eagle Group CLEG-48-240 extra-deep griddle's surface by 4-inch side and rear splashes, which slope front to back. Users can scrape used oil into the 3¹/₂-inch-wide front trough. Grease drains through the chute and into the 7¹/₂-quart stainless steel grease drawer for easy removal.
