The unit's three solid doors self-close when left open and are equipped with magnetic gaskets, cylinder locks, and chrome handles. This unit is designed with automatic interior lighting for clear visibility, and the nine chrome-plated steel shelves are adjustable using the heavy-duty pilaster strips. Overall, this cabinet measures 85¹/₂ inches wide by 35³/₈ inches deep by 83¹/₄ inches high, and its interior measures 75 cubic feet.

With a temperature range between 90 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the Continental DL3WE-SS heated cabinet's self-contained, top-mounted heating system operates with a circulating fan and airflow ducts to promote even air distribution throughout the interior. This unit has 3 inches of polyurethane foam insulation sitting between its metal paneling for temperature retaining qualities, while the stainless steel strip heaters are located in the interior's base. Using the electronic controls and display, staff can set, adjust, and monitor the unit's holding temperature. If temperature fluctuations occur, the high/low alarm sounds.
