Because the Hatco GRS-30-J Glo-Ray® heated shelf's stainless steel top and extruded aluminum base exude a practical, straightforward appearance, it can be integrated into front-of-house settings. Its rust- and corrosion-resistant metal surface can be wiped clean between uses, and its base is attached to four 1-inch nonslip rubber feet that secure it in place to prevent unexpected adjustments during loading or retrieval. This 30-inch-wide 21¹/₂-inch-deep by 2³⁹/₁₀₀-inch-high unit can be incorporated into existing buffet lines or used as a heated base in back-of-house workstations.

To ensure prepared foods are kept at safe serving temperatures, the Hatco GRS-30-J freestanding heated shelf's thermostatic control can be modified between 80 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Its blanket-type heating element generates enough heat to keep items warm for short-term holding, and its expansive design uniformly distributes heat across the shelf's surface. Integrated fiberglass insulation maintains surface heat, reduces temperature fluctuations, and minimizes energy loss.
